The Role This role will begin as a part-time consulting engagement during which you will answer hardware/electronics questions for our firmware engineering team, and help us plan out the path we are taking on several projects that may require hardware updates to our devices. Depending on the outcome of that phase, we may invite you to join the team on a more regular basis. As a hardware engineer at Noa, you will be at the forefront of IoT development in the micro-mobility market. You will contribute to and deploy world class technology used by some of the most successful companies in tech. As such, you will work closely with our firmware and backend R & D team. Compensation includes a competitive salary for the consulting engagement, with the addition of equity for the ongoing team-member role. Responsibilities Innovate with other engineering teams to develop and deploy new iterations of our location tracking device Develop new devices to help us expand our offering to new markets Requirements BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability. At least 3 years of experience working on embedded system design and pcb design. Experience with the following: low power design. microcontroller-based systems design. multi-layer PCB layout and design. schematic design. BOM selection and cost effective solutions. SPI, I2C, UART peripherals. RF design, including BLE, NFC, GNSS and cellular technologies. CE and FCC certifications. design of circuits for mass production. design for testing and development. version control, preferably Git. PCB CAD (e.g. KiCad, Altium Designer) on chip debug and trace. Additionally, experience with these is a plus: ARM 32-bits microcontrollers U-Blox cellular modules U-Blox GNSS modules firmware development to enable collaboration with our IoT team.
